Some blogs are more ambitious. Neither a simple personal blog to build credibility, nor a company blog to drive traffic to a product, some blogs take on a life of their own.
The product becomes the blog itself. It’s an old fashioned business model, but still exists, and with the popularity of classes and video/social platforms dedicated to learning, is actually making a resurgence.
is a great example. He used to work at Digital Ocean (one of the best company blogs on the internet) and at GatsbyJS a website publishing alternative to traditional CMS platforms.
is Josh Comeau’s latest project. It looks to be like a class. On his main site, you can just sign up for a newsletter (a common feature in any regular blog). But here, the call to action is to sign up for his new class.
